Four Founders Scholarship

The Four Founders Scholarship was instituted to fulfill supporting youth scholastics & the community. Each year, The Uplift Foundation awards multiple $1,500.00 scholarships to college bound graduating seniors, who apply and provide the application requirements below

Students interested in competing for an academic scholarship must provide the following information to the scholarship committee by April 15, 2024

  • A official high school transcript

  • Two letters of recommendation 

  1. one from a counselor and/or teacher

  2. one from a community organization

  • A completed Four Founders Scholarship application

  • A signed and dated certification statement

  • College/University Acceptance Letter(s)

  • A one-page double spaced type written essay answering either of the following questions:

  1. What do you hope to achieve in your personal and professional life after college?

  2. Who has had the greatest impact on your life and why?

Annual Eligibility Requirements 

To be eligible to apply for the Uplift Foundation scholarship, the applicant must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be a Chicago south-suburban resident attending a local high school or private/parochial school in the Chicago metropolitan area.

  • Must be planning on attending an accredited college or university in Fall 2024

  

The Chi Lambda Lambda Scholarship Committee will make the selection of awardees based on:

  • Exceptional GPA

  • Minimum ACT score of 18 or SAT score of 950

  • Strong communication skills - oral and written

  • Extra-curricular activities

  • Strong commitment to pursue a college education

  • Positive self-concept, motivated, and driven

  • Community involvement and service
